Students are enrolled at the University of Dubnica nad Váhom and receive the title of Doctor of Philosophy (PhDr) from that institution. PhDr. Distance Study Program Procedure
The PhDr. distance study program essentially consists of three parts:
- Writing and Presentation of the Exposé
- Writing the Rigorosum Thesis
- Defense of the Rigorosum Thesis
The distance learning program is entirely location-independent. Students are enrolled at the university and receive the academic degree “Doctor of Philosophy in Economics and Management” (PhDr.) from it.
The following admission requirements apply to this PhDr. distance learning program:
Master’s degree (2nd Bologna cycle) in Economics and Management from an internationally recognized university.
To apply for the PhDr. distance learning program, please fill in the application form. Your submitted documents will then be reviewed by representatives of University. You will receive feedback on your admission to the PhDr. distance study program and access to the learning platform via email. There are usually around 14 days between the submission of your application documents and the actual start of your studies

Total fees for one-time payment: €11,900
Total fees for semester-based payment: €12,600 (3 installments of €4,200 each)

The completion of the doctoral program is marked by the defense of the prepared Rigorosum thesis.
Upon successful completion of your PhDr. distance learning program, you will be awarded the academic degree “PhDr.” (Doctor of Philosophy) by the University, which will be conferred in the form of a diploma. The PhDr. degree is both recognized and valid. The academic degree PhDr. is placed before the name; an abbreviation as “Dr.” is not permitted.
The “Doctor of Philosophy in Economics and Management” (PhDr.) is an academic degree that corresponds to level 2/3 of the Bologna Process and which you can obtain at the H+ accredited private university.
In Austria, the use and registration of the title are permitted according to § 88 UG Abs 1 & 1A.
The academic degree “PhDr.” must only be used before the name.
The following generally applies:
Academic degrees (titles) may be used in the form in which they were acquired, provided that they were acquired in a member state of the European Union at a university that is recognized and registered in the home country.
After successfully completing your PhDr. distance study program, you are entitled to use your title as follows:
– PhDr. First Name Last Name
The PhDr. does not entitle you to use the title “Dr.”.

You can start your PhDr. distance learning program at any time and independently of semester times. Registration is done online; for this, you upload your application documents in the application form. After your registration, your admission will be reviewed by the University.
