How Does the PhDr Distance Learning Program Work?

You will be advised and supported by a German-speaking team throughout all six of the following steps.

Submission of application documents via our registration form including choice of topic for your rigorous work

Admission review by the university
→ Upon receiving approval: Agreement on payment terms

Study via Online Campus + Topic Selection:After receipt of payment, you will receive your access details for the e-campus (learning platform) by email. From that point, you will have two months to specify your proposed topic and finalize a working title for your rigorosum thesis.

Writing of exposé and rigorous work:

  • If the topic is accepted: another three months for writing the exposé
  • This is followed by the presentation of the exposé online.
  • If the exposé is accepted: Start of the writing process for the rigorous work
  • After successful completion of the rigorous work and the processing of the questionnaire → Taking the rigorous examination on site at the university

Defense of the thesis and oral examination on selected questions from the university’s list of questions

Awarding of the academic degree of “Doctor of Philosophy in Economics and Management” by the university.

→ After positive feedback: Agreement on payment modalities

Study via online campus + topic finding:After receipt of payment, we will send you the access data for the e-campus (learning platform) by e-mail. You then have two months to submit a topic proposal and a working title for your rigorous work

Writing of exposé and rigorous work:

If the topic is accepted: another three months for writing the exposé

This is followed by the presentation of the exposé via Skype.

If the exposé is accepted: Start of the writing process for the rigorous work

After successful completion of the rigorous work and the processing of the questionnaire → Taking the rigorous examination in Bratislava

Defense of the thesis and oral examination on selected questions from the questionnaire at the BUEM University in Bratislava (Rigorosum examination)

Awarding of the academic degree “Doctor of Philosophy in Economics and Management” by BUEM University Bratislava
